EuroGT I: Results

Submitted by Sir Tachyon on 13 October, 2007 - 17:10.

The weekend has been great! I have never seen this many people enjoying their favourite games in one room at the same time... Sure it was a tournament, but competitivness was easily surpassed by the enjoyment of all listees playing and marshalling here...

As for the results of the actual tourney's

Overal Best EuroGT player:
A personal victory could be claimed by our most welknown listee, Tommy Punk who out of all the players around, was rated the best player on this event, winning the Warmaster Rulebook and a lot of Warmaster mini's. (And now I've seen them, they can _really_ be called mini's :)

Warhammer Fantasy Battle:
The Woodelf Empire consisting out of Goeran Taenzer, Norman Langerak, Timos Lytros, Siamak Lou have won an most excellent victory of all the other Empire Teams.

Victourious was the one and only Xhilepepa (Witch Hunters), only beating Tommy Punk (Skaven, D'oh!) and Stefan Ramsdorfer (also skaven) closely who got second and Third places.

Painting:
The Best Painted army, were Lutz Goergen's Bretonnians, while David Stillberg's 'Tilean' Mariënburgers won the Mordheim Painting contest.

Sportsmanship:
Tommy Punk (again!) won the Mordheim Sportsmanship as did Robin de Haas for Warhammer Fantasy Battes.

The Marshall competition:
This was won by a man, who came to this event unaware of the most what all this table top fighting is all about, but returned a newborn Warhammer Fantatic, Mark Atkinson, (dwarf_fanatic's dad).

Speedpainting contest:
The warmaster stands that needed to be painted in only half an hour!!! speedpainting competition was won by David Stilberg.

Prices courtesy of our sponsors, Lone Wolf Developments Inc, Games Workshop, and SiegeTower were gladly received by all these players under loud applouse of all the other player by the hand of our guest of Honour Tuomas Pirinen.

The only parties which I still need to thank are of course The Golden Tulip hotel, which proved to be the most excellent location, Outdare for providing the webspace needed for our website, and Harskamp Hobbycenter which all have made this event possible.
