Some of you might be interested in my impressions of the EuroGT and so here they are :-)
IN SHORT
It was one of the greatest weekends of Gaming and Fun I have ever had in my life. Meeting all the people I only knew from the list in Real Life(tm) was great fun and the atmosphere throughout the weekend was so friendly and good that I felt truly sad saying goodbye on Sunday.
MEETING THE LISTMEMBERS
One of the things that struck me the most about the weekend was how good everybody got along with each other. There is always the chance that when you meet somebody you only know in Cyberspace in Real Life it turns out he is a Dork (insert bad joke). But all the people I met very just so nice and friendly it almost seemed we all knew each other for years (or at least weeks :-D). Even the WFB participants I talked to were nice and friendly :-)
TALKING TO TUOMAS
In short, for a famous person he is really friendly and fun to be around :-) But seriously, meeting Tuomas and talking to him was great. He is a very friendly person and a True Gamer(tm) at heart. I hope (and think) he had a great time meeting and talking to the listmembers. Too bad I cannot tell you all the secret things he told us about the future of Mordheim.
MORDHEIM TOURNEY
The Mordheim tourney started a bit slowly but picked up speed in the following days. As there are no tournament rules for Mordheim we had to write our own. It clearly needs some improvement but I think all the Mordheim participants had a great time fighting opponents and betraying friends.
OTHER THINGS
Well, there was My Alter Ego's GF Donata, the Warrior Princes. We had the Mordheim Spice Girls (I won't mention any names but seeing some of the most wellknown listmembers doing a Spice Girls act was very surreal). We were in the presence of the first Amateur Mordheim Worldchampion Xhilipepa (ask him about his trophy) and there was the DungeonQuest game with my Alter Ego Donato Ranzato in it. But that is a story I will tell you all another time :-)
Thanks to all the guys (and girls) at the EuroGT for the tremendous fun I had and I will be seeing you all back next year. I promise.
