EuroGT III: Introduction

The third European Get Together for the Direwolf, Mordheim and Warmaster mailinglists

As all things do... it had to end. A full weekend of gaming and getting together. Over 50 friends from the Direwolf, Mordheim and Warmaster mailinglists have enjoyed a great stay in Bergen op Zoom. Conquering lands at the WHFB tournament, ganging up on each other at the Mordheim tables and battling it 'large scale' playing Warmaster.

The Warhammer Fantasy Battle Tournament again was a great success, several teams, fought for the glory of their own Empires conquering new lands and defending them from the onslaught of other teams. The Mordheim tourney featured good backstabbing and awkward deals between all the gangs and Wyrdstone was abundant. And even with only a few people around the Warmaster players enjoyed themselves immensely.

Continuing the traditions of last year, the organization tried to take the paths never taken, which resulted in the world's very first WEB Warmaster battle! Between Chris Burnett at the EuroGT and Gert Hansen from Denmark. Gert's only view of the table was through the eye of our webcam, while Gerald Denk was his hands and physically moved his models. Afterwards Gert provides us with an excellent Audiovisual report of the battle. Check it out:

Gert's Demise
(As soon as I get this embedded videostuff working, it will be put up)

While there were no losers at the whole event you can check out who actually won at the result's page or check out some of the pictures taken at the event. And if that's not enough, try to spot who was there at the small good-bye movie.

Anyway, a big thanks to all people involved organizing, playing, sponsoring and following the EuroGT 2001

The Organization.
